Custom orthotics at The FootLab cost $399 for adults and $199 for children 16 and under. Your orthotics are individually molded to your feet, fabricated at our White Bear Lake location and fitted to your footwear. You leave with your finished orthotics in about one hour.
If you’re comparing custom orthotics prices, look at what comes with the purchase: who evaluates your feet, how the orthotics are made, how they fit your shoes and what support is available afterward. This guide explains our pricing so you can decide on your next step with confidence.

What Is Included in the Cost?
Your purchase includes the evaluation, custom molding, on-site fabrication and fitting of your orthotics.
The process starts with a conversation about your concerns, daily activities and footwear. We evaluate your feet and how you stand and walk, then mold and fabricate your orthotics for your support needs. Before you leave, we fit them into your shoes and check how they feel.
Our staff are nationally Certified Pedorthists licensed by the State of Minnesota. That experience helps connect the shape of the orthotic with how you actually use your feet.

Why Should You Compare More Than the Price?
A useful comparison starts with a few questions:
- Is the support individually molded to my feet?
- Who will evaluate my feet and fit the finished orthotics?
- Will the provider check the fit in my actual footwear?
- What happens if I need an adjustment?
- Is there a satisfaction guarantee?
Ask each provider for the total price and a clear explanation of what it includes. A price alone doesn’t tell you how much fitting support you’ll receive.
For example, someone who spends a workday in boots may have different footwear requirements from someone who primarily wears running shoes. Bring the shoes you use most often so the fitting can account for them.
How Can Custom Orthotics Be Made in About One Hour?
At The FootLab, fabrication takes place in our own lab. The Certified Pedorthist who evaluates you also makes your orthotics and checks the finished fit.
Our direct molding process captures your feet while you stand on heated orthotic blanks supported by molding pillows. We then finish the orthotics and fit them to your footwear. Keeping these steps in one location allows us to make and fit your orthotics during the same appointment.
What If My Orthotics Need an Adjustment?
Contact us if your FootLab orthotics need fine-tuning. Minor adjustments are provided at no charge.
Describe what you’re feeling and bring the shoes you’re wearing with your orthotics. That helps us assess the fit and determine what needs attention.
Are FootLab Custom Orthotics Guaranteed?
Yes. Our custom orthotics are backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
If you do not experience improved comfort and performance within 30 days, you can return your FootLab custom orthotics for a full refund. Read The FootLab guarantee or call 651-429-3333 with questions.
Does The FootLab Accept Insurance, HSA or FSA Payments?
The FootLab does not accept traditional health insurance or Medicare. We do accept HSA and flexible spending account payments.
Check your plan’s requirements before purchasing, including whether documentation is needed. Our insurance and payment information explains how these payments work at The FootLab.
Are Custom Orthotics Worth the Cost?
Start by asking what you need your foot support to do. Consider your current comfort, the shoes you wear and the activities that matter to you.
A free evaluation gives you an opportunity to discuss those needs before making a purchase. You can ask questions about the fitting process, see how our orthotics are made and understand the price without an obligation to buy.
